The general meaning of ethics: rational, optimal (regarded as the best solution of the given options) and appropriate decision brought on the basis of common sense. This does not exclude the possibility of destruction if it is necessary and if it does not take place as the result of intentional malice.,.

Yes, Sheldon Cooper of the sitcom Big Bang Theory. Lots of us know about this character played by Jim Parsons. You could say that Sheldon is a classic example of a weird friend. Initially, I thought Sheldon was an alien from outer space. The way he behaves, his figurative mode of speech was unusual and seriously discrete. If you take a character analysis of Sheldon ways of living, mannerism, it could sometimes flabbergast you. Why? Because you have a person like his friends Leonard, Howard, and Rajesh have an extensive collection of superhero toys in which Flash is his favorite. Man! You will split into laughter, when you see in an episode where he dresses up as the Flash after drinking five cups of coffee. He gets so energized and intoxicated that he just speeds out of the apartment into the street in the Flash costume. '

You will want to grab an old toothbrush to clean this tube out and remove all of the buildup from the inside of this tube. Breathing in the dust will not be a problem or a concern when the canister and filter are cleaned with care. They came quickly enough-two burly men who would have been a help at installation time.

I just recently got the game and I cannot wait to play it. a friend told me about the kickstarter for Torment: Tides of Numenara (TTN) (spelling?) and he was saying all these good things about it being a spiritual sequel to the first and when i said i had never played the first he said i could no longer be his friend until I played and he provided me with his! while googling it i found this review and I admit i am looking forward to playing as well as the next one (due in late 2014 so far).

but as for TTN, it really does look fantastic and has 3 days left to go and so far is almost at 3.5M funding! it is looking promising so far :D

Hello,
These posts are very old and I just started playing so I didn't participate in the early game. I certainly won't have the same experience as you.

When I started the game and had a look at the female humans, the diversity was quite big. Adjusting the body height or physical appearance has a large range, from slender to muscular to outright heavy.

Also there are some faces which to start with are not very beautiful, but the sliders allow you to make a very ugly character or a very beautiful one.

And if you look at male characters, the same goes there too. You do have plenty possibilities to make an out of the world super sexy male super model. I yet have to hear anyone complain about that.

But maybe the post is outdated and you didn't have the slider option when you posted or weren't familiar with the many options and drastical changes that one can apply.

Best wishes

Ahem. I am a roleplayer who -is- an introverted and socially inept geek who uses her characters to experience other aspects of life I otherwise have no interest in. What's wrong with that? :(

So what if people choose to sacrifice Vincent to Sephiroth? What makes that the "wrong" choice but Aeris is the "right" choice? Why not let the player play the game the way they feel is right? Yes, some people are going to metagame the story. Other might see an opportunity to shape the story to fit the way they want. I could absolutely see myself sacrificing Tifa in the scenario I describe above; just as some people will play tabletop RPGs "to win" (the "munchkins"), others play to tell an interesting collaborative story. I imagine we'd see a similar split in how people approached RPGs if there were more player agency allowed.

I think you're falling into the same trap a lot of developers fall into: they want to tell "their" story, which is the only correct one. Again, I think this is a big reason why game stories feel so empty, because developers keep trying to shoehorn in their own story rather than letting the player tell their own story. Just because some people's stories might be, "And then I sacrificed Vincent because I never liked him" doesn't that isn't valid. I think, "And then Sephiroth attacked Tifa and I realized... I have to let her go." is so much more powerful than, "And then a cutscene killed Aeris."

Anyway, thanks for the insightful discussion. Have a great holiday season. :)

I think more and more players have begun demanding substantial outcomes off their playtime, and that is why we will be seeing a resurgence of the sandbox MMO, where you don't have to follow a pre-established path to the endgame, but you log on to have fun at your convenience. I'm keeping an eye on the development of Everquest Next. Plus I'm always on the lookout for fun games that do not fall into the trap of conditioning you to play through rewards or habit, if that is possible :).

Your post is great food for thought at a point in my life when I'm taking a really hard look at how I spend my leisure time.

It's easy to justify raiding as social bonding, and Auction House play is probably worth doing as it's both interesting and easy to scale with whatever time I have available, but I'm seeing more and more elements in WoW as just busy work, completely lacking in substance, and the "rewards" a pale justification for spending that much of my time doing something I don't enjoy.
